Flexible Learning Options
At NSTA Hillcrest™, we understand every learner has unique needs. That’s why we offer flexible pathways and recognition options to help you complete your training efficiently and confidently.
Our blended learning model combines interactive online study with face-to-face assessments at NSTA Hillcrest.
This allows you to complete theory components at your own pace, then attend practical sessions when ready.
Already working in the industry? You may be eligible for RPL, which recognises your existing skills and experience.
RPL is available for most qualifications delivered under RTO 32292 (excluding Firearms Safety).
If you’ve previously completed equivalent units through another RTO, you may be eligible for a Credit Transfer (CT) to fast-track your qualification.

CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations:
✔ Be at least 18 years old
✔ Provide 100 points of identification
✔ Pass a national police check (for licensing)
✔ Be physically fit to perform duties such as standing and patrolling
For Certificate III, students must already hold a current QLD Security Licence or have completed Certificate II.
Students must:
✔ Be 11 years or older
✔ Provide valid photo identification
✔ Be an Australian resident or hold a valid visa
✔ Meet all Queensland Police Service (QPS) licensing criteria
This course prepares participants to apply for a Weapons Licence in Queensland.
✅ Yes. NSTA Hillcrest™ delivers HLTAID009 (CPR) and HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid) training for individuals, workplaces, and schools. We also offer group sessions and same-day certification upon completion.
Yes. Our AVI20118 Certificate II in Transport Security Protection prepares students for employment in aviation, maritime, and freight security. Training includes compliance, screening procedures, and emergency response practices.
Yes — Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT) are available for most courses (except Firearms Safety). These options allow experienced professionals or those with prior qualifications to gain credit and complete their training faster.

For most short courses such as First Aid and CPR, certificates are issued the same day after successful completion. For full qualifications (e.g., Security Operations), certificates are issued within a few business days once all assessments are marked as competent.
